City Council Pushes Spokane Temp to 350.Org

The Spokane Newspaper didn’t make much fuss about an Alt-Left city council siding with the likes of a global climate extremist group called 350.Org. But the article did mention buttons with 350Spokane written on them. It was pretty much the same intersectional protesters at the City Hall dog and pony show from the extremist groups housed on West Main Street in downtown Spokane. See our SPI July 17th Posting.

Spokane City Council passes climate change ordinance Spokesman Review

A handful of attendees wore “350 Spokane” buttons, referring to a local chapter of global grassroots activism group.

The Comrades from Big Enviro took the Spokane bumpkins for a ride, then bragged on their website.

Victory at Spokane City Council World.350.Org

Victory!!  After an hour of public testimony and a second hour of council member discussion, the City Council voted 6-1 in favor of an ordinance that codifies the City’s Sustainability Plan, officially recognizes anthropogenic climate change, and sets as law the City’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the city of Spokane by at least thirty percent (30%) below the 2005 baseline level by the year 2030.  The temporary Council Chambers room was filled to capacity and a second overflow room with a live feed was opened in an adjoining space.

But who is 350?

350 is founded and led by Bill McKibben, 350.org is an international campaign to promote global environmentalism and to generate support for intergovernmental regulations on greenhouse-gas emissions. The group derives its name from the measurement “350 parts per million” (350 ppm), which some scientists believe is the maximum amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) that should be permitted to exist in the earth’s atmosphere. The leaders of 350.org contend that if the benchmark of 350 ppm is not reached in the near future, a global catastrophe will result. Indeed, 350.org maintains that many harbingers of such a cataclysm are already evident: polar icecap melting, worldwide increases in disease, food shortages, and general environmental degradation.

In the about section at 350.Org they say

350 uses online campaigns, grassroots organizing, and mass public actions to oppose new coal, oil and gas projects, take money out of the companies that are heating up the planet, and build 100% clean energy solutions that work for all. 350’s network extends to 188 countries.

It’s a little too late for a debate on the issue and what can one expect from the Compassionate City’s elected officials. Spokane deserves this!

Spokane has some unique problems and railroads aren’t all that innocent either but the fact is some on the current city council are activists as are some local news writers with dim witted Alt-Left connections.

The man below is the Spokane city council president and the video is presented by the Heinz Endowments. According to newspaper sources there is no Alt-Left, just an ever growing Alt-Right. Anyone can look up the protester players in Spokane and connect them together like legos except the local Republicans. They are starting to wake up a little with all the consistent attacks from local press. Now they have to throw the first punch and stop trying to be nice. This is a war of narratives and Spokane is being led by the nose.

It appears that the Spokane City Council President just might be an activist in the 350 Montana video below. Spokane deserves him and they ain’t seen nothing yet.
