CAIR – Islamophobia narrative at Gonzaga Conference

CAIR-Seattle will send Arsalan Bukhari to the Good Neighbor Conference at Gonzaga on December 3rd. He appears to be a very likable guy much like Amer Ahmed who spoke at Whitworth on Islamophobia. Apparently there will be no speakers on Christophobia or Hinduphobia.

The conference is a good idea as a response to the recent local hateful criminal activity against minorities and there is no excuse for that kind of behavior. Hopefully these criminals will be apprehended. They clearly broke the law and made our citizens fearful.

The Interstate 90, “Boycott Israel” sign near the Maple street exit makes our Jewish community uneasy. It promotes economic warfare (BDS) against Israel and many of it’s proponents advocate for annihilation. Will this conference really stand against all forms of bigotry, intolerance and defamation or will factions enforce political correctness? You will have to RSVP to go to the event to see it for yourself but do go with an open mind and don’t be a disrupter.

The United Arab Emirates named CAIR a Terrorist Organization with ties to Hamas and Arsalan appears like he’d be a better fit in the Muslim Reform Movement where great Americans like Zhudi Jassar (video)  fight to stop Islamism and Sharia law.

Compare the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and ask yourself how do so many educated people get mixed up with CAIR. Not all Muslims want CAIR to speak for them. Some Gonzaga adminstrators were triggered when Dinesh D’Souza was invited to speak at Gonzaga but CAIR apparently passed college safe space standards. Perhaps someone could show the Honor Diaries there.

The Council on American Islamic Relations was honored by the Spokane City Council ironically as a civil rights group. But then the City Counsel is known regionally for it’s Portlandia values. Spokane’s been named an international “Compassionate City” and called a Sanctuary City with neither connection garnering much news or interest locally. Spokane is like the Twilight Zone where nothing ever seems real, except Zag basketball. Thank God for that.

Muslim activists at CAIR ordered to trial for fraud

The national Council on American-Islamic Relations, a self-described Muslim civil-rights group that previously was named by the FBI as a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood, has been ordered to stand trial over its potential liability for a fake lawyer it hired and allegedly should have controlled.

CAIR explains: “Prompted at least in part by anti-Muslim rhetoric employed by public figures like Donald Trump and other GOP candidates we decided to launch Islamophobin. With Islamophobin, we hope to dispel a serious problem with a witty and humorous manner. Buy and distribute Islamophobin to help us dispel Islamophobia.”

CAIR is congratulating itself on its “witty and humorous” idea, but it isn’t even original to the group. Back in July 2010, while speaking in Sweden, I was handed a box of “Islamofobil” pills that promised to cure “Islamophobia” and promote “multiculturalism” and “open-mindedness.” Is CAIR paying a royalty to the people who marketed “Islamofobil” pills?

It’s good to bring attention to communities to stop Hate Crimes and these participants have great intentions. Kudos. The only sad part is that CAIR will walk away with another PR trophy.
